Efem Clinic: Building a Connected Digital Growth Infrastructure
A clinic website rebuild evolved into a connected system for organic search visibility, AI discoverability, enquiry attribution and patient acquisition.
More than a website redesign.
A clinic website should help prospective patients understand a physician’s expertise, explore relevant treatments and make informed decisions about contacting the practice.
Efem Clinic needed a clearer digital position, a more structured body of treatment information and better visibility into where patient enquiries originated. The objective was not simply to refresh the website’s appearance: brand positioning, search visibility and enquiry workflows needed to operate as parts of the same system.
According to the clinic’s historical account, its earlier website generated no recorded website-originated enquiries over approximately two years. This historical baseline was not independently audited.
Six connected layers. One digital foundation.
The site reached its initial operational stage in early June 2026. A broader treatment and educational content rollout followed in July, with ongoing work across visibility and enquiry processes.
Physician-led brand authority
Aligned the website’s communication with Dr. Abdurrahman Efem’s focus on individual assessment, considered treatment selection, natural-looking outcomes and realistic expectations.
Purpose-built patient journeys
Rebuilt the website around concise treatment pages, clear contact pathways and detailed educational resources for patients seeking additional information.
Connected content architecture
Organised related treatment pages, comparisons, safety considerations and results-timeline articles using technical SEO, internal links and Turkish and English content pathways.
Clearer signals for AI search
Developed more specific content around clinical expertise, technologies and treatment philosophy, then used periodic platform tests to identify retrieval and recommendation gaps.
Source-aware communication
Preserved available referring-page and source information in WhatsApp enquiries and used it alongside patient-reported discovery information to support follow-up and attribution.
Reporting that separates the signals
Reviewed search visibility, on-site analytics and enquiry outcomes as distinct measures, using source information and conversion definitions to guide ongoing refinements without equating traffic with paid treatments.
Growing visibility in organic search.
Google Search Console recorded the following performance during a three-month reporting window, approximately mid-July to mid-October 2026.
Source: Google Search Console. Results reflect the reporting window rather than lifetime website performance.
What stood out: Search activity extended beyond the physician’s name. Searches related to XERF in Istanbul generated organic clicks, while educational resources on treatment timelines, side effects and comparisons appeared among the site’s most-clicked pages. Impressions and daily clicks trended upward across the period.

Measuring enquiries through to paid treatment.
The clinic’s internal enquiry records, beginning in June 2026, also make it possible to evaluate a later stage of the patient journey. Here, a conversion means that an enquiry led to a completed paid treatment or procedure—not merely a booked appointment or consultation.
Overall lead-to-paid-treatment conversion
The observed conversion rate across the recorded enquiry pool, regardless of acquisition source.
AI-attributed lead-to-paid-treatment conversion
The observed rate within a smaller subset of enquiries associated with AI discovery signals and patient-reported attribution.
Important context: These are historical, internally reported rates, not independently audited figures. The AI-attributed group was relatively small, and differences in enquiry intent or source classification may influence the comparison. No absolute enquiry counts, patient counts or revenue figures are disclosed.
Growth infrastructure works across the entire journey.
Website traffic, enquiries and completed treatments are different measures. The project connected these stages without treating one metric as a substitute for another.
Be discoverable
Relevant treatment information and educational content create more opportunities for prospective patients to find the clinic during research.
Build informed trust
Clear positioning, realistic treatment information and a coherent patient journey help visitors understand the practice before getting in touch.
Learn from enquiries
Preserving source context and tracking the next steps gives the clinic a more useful view of which enquiries progress toward treatment.
Built to keep improving.
The project remains ongoing. Current priorities include refining Turkish and international content pathways, developing treatment-focused educational resources, improving AI discoverability and strengthening enquiry attribution and reporting.
The long-term objective is not traffic growth in isolation. It is a coherent foundation that supports better-informed patient decisions and clearer operational insight for the clinic.
Measurement & attribution notes
Search data: Google Search Console, approximately mid-July to mid-October 2026. Clicks, impressions, CTR and position are search performance metrics and should not be equated with unique visitors, enquiries or patients.
Conversion data: Internally reported enquiry outcomes beginning in June 2026. Lead-to-paid-treatment conversion requires a completed paid treatment or procedure; the conversion reporting period differs from the Google Search Console window.
AI attribution: Sources are classified using available WhatsApp source parameters (for example, source=chatgpt) together with patient-reported discovery information. These signals do not conclusively establish that a particular AI answer caused an enquiry or treatment.
Interpretation: The historical website baseline and conversion rates have not been independently audited. Observed changes may reflect multiple factors; no guarantee of similar results is implied.
